Head of IT

Responsibilities
- Manage Group IT projects.
- Lead the IT administrators team.
- Oversee task execution within the ticketing system.
- Ensure the maintenance and support of the Group's entire IT infrastructure.
- Support and automate IT processes.
- Account for software and IT equipment.
- Organize and conduct internal IT system audits.
- Write and update technical and regulatory documentation in the IT field.
- Test new technologies in the IT sector and develop implementation proposals.
- Collaborate actively with various company departments and users to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Ensure data protection across the Group.
- Oversee the operation of monitoring systems.
- Ensure the functionality of mail systems and servers.
- Implement and support virtualization systems, specifically Hyper-V.
- Provide pre-sale support for server equipment sales and participate in negotiations with customers and suppliers.
- Ensure the installation, configuration, and administration of Windows/Unix servers.
- Provide internal software support for users in collaboration with service providers.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in the IT field.
- At least 3 years of experience working in an international company or group of companies.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT team management.
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP models.
- Familiarity with server hardware (knowledge of the Dell product line is a plus).
- Hands-on experience implementing Windows Server line products.
- Hands-on experience in Linux administration.
- Hands-on experience in Windows and AD domain administration, including GPO, DFS, etc.
- Experience with Hyper-V virtualization technology.
- Knowledge of principles for building local networks, including ethernet, Wi-Fi, and VPN.
- Proven experience in writing technical documentation and in passing IT audits and PCI DSS audits.
- Basic programming skills for automation processes, including Bash, Python, Powershell, and Perl.
- Understanding of the operational principles of data networks.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, with an Upper-intermediate level as a minimum.
- Fluent in Latvian and Russian.
- Strong communication skills and a team player mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Exchange server.
- Hands-on experience with FreeBSD.
- Familiarity with container technologies like Docker and Podman.
- Expertise in Zabbix administration.
- Experience in integration of cryptographic protection.
- Hands-on experience in Office 365 deployment or migration.
